Day 1
Bishkek
Today is your first day in Kyrgyzstan and it starts in its capital city Bishkek. When you arrive you will be met by our team in the airport. We will take you to your hotel and you will have time to get settled in. After a lunch, you’ll have city tour in the central part of Bishkek. You will see Philharmonic House, Opera House, Old Square, Ala-Too Square, Victory Square, Circus Building, and City Hall. You’ll have a chance to learn about Kyrgyz history at the Museum of National Histoty and the National Museum of Fine Arts. Finally, you’ll see what a Bazaar looks like when you’ll go to Osh Bazaar. Enjoy your dinner in the best restaurants of Bishkek Supara or Arzu Style. Stay overnight in the hotel
Day 2
Bishkek – Kochkor – Chok-Tal
Today, you’ll set off for a journey around Issyk-Kul Lake: at approximately one mile high, this is the world’s second-largest mountain lake, and despite the snowcapped peaks around it, it never freezes, earning it the name that translates to “hot lake” in Kyrgyz. On the way there, you will visit Burana tower, from the Karakhanid period (10th century), and afterwards, travel to Kochkor village where you will observe the process of felt carpet making. After lunch, you will travel to the northern shore of the lake for dinner and spend the rest of your evening in a comfortable local hotel on the lake shore
Day 3
Chok-Tal – Karakol
On the third day of your journey, you’ll take an exciting excursion to the Aytmatov "Ruh Ordo" Cultural Center, where you’ll visit five chapels of world confessions - Catholicism, Islam, Orthodoxy, Buddhism, and Judaism - and explore a stone garden featuring rock engravings, prehistoric monumental structures, and petroglyphs dating back to 500 BC. Later, you’ll head to Karakol, the fourth-largest town in Kyrgyzstan, where you’ll visit Przhevalsky Museum devoted to Russian Exploration, Russian Orthodox Holy Trinity Church, Dungan Mosque. In the Green Yard hotel you’ll enjoy a traditional Kyrgyz folkloric dinner with Kyrgyz national music and songs
Day 4
Karakol – Jety-Oguz gorge – Barskoon gorge – Bokonbaevo
This morning you’ll first visit the Town History museum where you can see a lot of interesting things including housewares of nomads and Russian migrants, scarecrows of local animal and bird species, horse gear, and others. After that, you will drive to Jety Oguz gorge, a lush valley with striking red sandstone rock formations, particularly in the shape of the “Seven Bulls”, which the valley is named after. After visit to Jeti-Oguz, you’ll drive to Barskoon gorge, but before entering the gorge you’ll visit Mekenbek’s house who is a famous yurt maker residing in Barskoon village. Then, you will drive to Barskoon gorge, where there is a nice mixture of fir trees, berries, and herbs and a spectacular view of Issyk-Kul Lake. Enjoy a pleasant hike and a picnic lunch in a meadow before driving to Bokonbaevo , where you’ll enjoy dinner, and homestay (guesthouse) accommodation
Day 5
Bokonbaevo – Chon-Kemin Valley (Kalmak-Ashuu Village)
In the morning, near Bokonbaevo village you’ll watch falconry and eagle show. Next, you’ll drive on to the Chon-Kemin Valley, where you’ll see beautiful mountain and sea views while enjoying dinner, and overnight in the ranch style “Ashu” Hotel
Day 6
Kalmak-Ashuu –Chunkurchak
Witness the famous horseback game Ulak Tartish (buzkashi/kupkari), a wild, traditional sport of nomads which is played on horseback throughout Central Asia; then, take a horseback riding trip yourself, or hike around the local area. Enjoy a lunch at “Ashu” Hotel before heading back to Chunkurchak for your farewell dinner and night in the hotel
Day 7
Chunkurchak-Bishkek
The first half day spend by horseback riding in Chunkurchak Valley. Chunkurchak has fir forests, alpine meadows, rapid rivers, and snow-capped mounts. Here you can ride horse for several hours until you reach glaciers. You can hike in the woods. In general, this is a good place for privacy. You can try yourself in archery. Enjoy your lunch in Supara Chunkurchak restaurant. In the afternoon you will set off to Bishkek where you can make some shopping and have time to prepare for departure. If your flight is in the evening, then you’ll be transferred to the airport, if you fly in the morning, then you’ll stay in Hyatt Regency
Day 8
Bishkek- Airport Manas
Today is your departure day from Bishkek. After an exciting week in Kyrgyzstan your journey has come to an end. After your breakfast in the hotel our team will transfer to the Manas International Airport where you can catch your flight home or continue with your next exciting destination.
